HAPITech equips youth and adults with language, digital, vocational, and entrepreneurial skills they can use to pursue employment, continue their education, build businesses, and strengthen their communities.
HAPITech Professional School
Training today. Building tomorrow.
For young people in rural Haiti, professional education often means traveling to Jacmel or Port-au-Prince—an expense many families cannot afford and a journey that has become increasingly unsafe, especially for women.
Located at the HAPI Merlet Center in Musac, HAPITech brings quality education and practical workforce training closer to home. Students gain knowledge, confidence, and marketable skills in a supportive environment rooted in responsibility, leadership, and service to community.
Current Programs
Skills that open doors
English Language Learning
HAPITech offers English instruction from beginning through advanced levels. Students develop language skills that can support higher education, teaching, professional employment, international communication, and access to online resources.
Computer and Digital Skills
Students build practical computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills for education, employment, communication, and small-business management.
A special session within the computer literacy course introduces digital and entrepreneurial applications, helping students consider how technology can support income-generating ideas and local enterprises.
Learning across cultures
Each semester, HAPITech’s Advanced ESL students meet with International Business students at Central Michigan University who are studying how to manage cultural differences. Together, they practice communication across cultures and discover that meaningful learning travels in both directions.

Expanding practical training
HAPITech plans to broaden its professional training with three additional courses that respond to practical needs in the community while preparing students for work, self-employment, and entrepreneurship.

HAPITech’s programs evolve in response to the skills students want to learn and the opportunities available within the community. Previous vocational training has included ceramic tiling, offered during the first half of 2025.
By offering a changing mix of language, digital, and vocational training, HAPITech helps students prepare for employment, self-employment, further education, and entrepreneurship.
