Welcome to HAPITech

the first vocational school in Mizak

Why We Exist?

The population of Mizak consists of 65% young people, under age 25. Young adults have always struggled to find a place to learn a profession after high school because the professional schools are in Jacmel or Port-au-Prince. Living and transportation expenses are much higher plus there is a lot of insecurity and violence, especially for women.

HAPITech brings young people a professional school close to home and solves these problem,

Our project aims to contribute to the advancement of young people by teaching them a profession that they can use in the future. We are creating new leaders capable of taking their place in society and serving their community.

Our Programs

English-Second-Language (ESL)

This is a 2-year program designed for people who dream to become English teachers and for professionals who want to gain English skills to become more efficient in their work.

ESL is also for high school students who aspire to study in an English-speaking country or other top universities in Haiti where English is considered an asset.

 Ceramic Tiling

This is a 6 month skilled training course designed for anyone who wants to become a professional in the field.  After gaining this training they will be able to find a job and make money.

Electrical

This is a one-year program designed for people who want to become electrical technicians. Students who receive this training are able to wire a building.  Job opportunities in this domain will increase a lot in the next few years as Haiti advances in energy.  HAPITech believes that learning these skills will provide them a better future.

Computer Troubleshooting

After taking this training our students are able to fix any problem that laptops or phones might have. As the Community develops, many people in the community own computers and phones. The repair skills are very important. People in the community will not need to leave the community to get their electronic devices repaired.  By fixing the problems the technician will be able to make some money.

Basic Computer

Nowadays the world is dominated by the tools of the new information technology and communication. High Schools in Mizak don’t teach computer skills.  Students who went to university after high school always struggle using computers. However, this course brings them up to speed.   Professionals who are looking to be more efficient in their own job really like taking this course as well.

Support Our Work.

You can change somebody’s life by teaching him to fish instead of giving him a fish.  Contributing $25USD per month per student will endow a profession for a life-changing.  You can also support HAPITech by contributing to any projects that HAPI is undertaking.  HAPITech students will get hired and that money will contribute to pay their tuition.
